The “Chair Jean Monnet on Europeanisation of Moldova through a circular economy that works for consumers” project -2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH
is implemented in the period 2022-2025 by the Academy of Economic Studies from Moldova with the support of the Erasmus + Program of the European Union in partnership with the Henri Capitant Association of Legal Culture / AHCCJ and the European Institute for Initiatives, Reforms and Education /ASPIRE.
Objectives and results
The overall objective of the ECOCONS project is to contribute to information, reflection and dissemination activities for students, academics, young researchers, public administration staff, business and civil society as a whole regarding the circular economy that works for consumers in The European Union and Moldova and promotes the understanding of sustainable consumption, resource conservation and waste prevention, as well as the responsibility of producers in the design and marketing phases, as one of the most important premises for the Europeanization of the social cohesion of Moldova, the increase of economic cooperation between the EU-MD.
The ECOCONS objectives:
- To promote excellence in teaching and research in European Union studies for the circular economy that works for consumers;
- Encouraging circular economy dialogue between academia and society, including local and state decision-makers, business, civil society actors, representatives of education levels and the media;
- To generate circular economy knowledge and insights to support EU policy-making and strengthen the role of the EU;
- To include active outreach and education that will spread knowledge about EU topics in wider society (beyond academia and specialist audiences) and bring the EU closer to the public.
- To increase the visibility of scientific resources and research results in the field of studies on the protection of human rights and the ADR procedure in the Republic of Moldova
- To improve the understanding in the EU of the problems and real development trends regarding the promotion of the circular economy through the prism of consumer rights in the Republic of Moldova.
