On 13.07.2023, within the “Jean Monnet Chair on the Europeanization of Moldova through a circular economy that works for consumers / ECOCONS” project, the second day of the intensive course in the field of EU legislation on consumer safety and the circular economy took place , as continuous training for civil servants from the Ministry of the Environment, the Environment Agency and the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection.

Trainers of this intensive course were Dr.hab. Plotnic Olesea, university professor Jean Monnet, expert in the field of consumer protection and circular economy and Fală Nicolae, lawyer and expert in administrative procedure, trainer of the National Institute of Justice.

The Europeanization of Moldova through a circular economy that works for consumers could be an effective solution for sustainable development and environmental protection. In this sense, the ECOCONS project comes with an exhortation both to state institutions, environmental NGOs, civil society, authorized collective systems in the Republic of Moldova, as well as external partners, to strengthen their forces and in collaboration, to continue the transition activities gradual transition to the circular economy and achieving sustainable production and consumption in the Republic of Moldova.

During the training, civil servants had the opportunity to ask questions to experts and debate practical cases by identifying solutions for complex cases within the Ministry of the Environment, the Environment Agency and the Environmental Protection Inspectorate relevant to consumer safety by promoting the circular economy

The intensive course for civil servants is part of a series of continuous training courses, the next one being planned for 14.07.2023.

The training is organized within the Jean Monnet Chair on the Europeanization of Moldova through a circular economy that works for consumers / ECOCONS and implemented in the period 2022-2025 by the Academy of Economic Studies from Moldova with the support of the Erasmus + Program of the European Union in partnership with the Henri Association Captain of Legal Culture / AHCCJ and the European Institute for Initiatives, Reforms and Education /ASPIRE.
